WHY SOFT-SKILLS MATTERS?
We live in a world of accelerating change. New industries are continually being born, and old ones are becoming obsolete.
Both the workforce and our knowledge base are rapidly evolving. Combined with the effects of technological automation on the workforce.
Soft-Skills or "Human-Skills" are becoming critical skills, which are increasingly being seen as the future core to career success.
HARD-SKILLS VS. SOFT-SKILLS
Every job requires two skill sets: hard-skills and soft-skills.
Hard-skills are teachable abilities that are quantifiable and can be defined. For example, Science, math, software knowledge, etc.
Soft-skills are personal attributes that enable you to interact effectively and cooperatively with other people. These abilities are difficult to quantify, but they are vital to your success in the workplace.
SOFT-SKILLS
While technical or hard-skills are vital, they alone are insufficient for success in the current and future workplace.
Some of the Soft-Skills that will equip you to meet the challenges of the modern workplace and that will give you the capacity to embrace changes in the future are as follow:
